The Webinar on The Fourth Dimension in Mathematics took place on Thursday, May 29th, 2025 from 5 pm until 6 pm, with Andres Navas, Professor of Mathematics at the University of Santiago, Chile, as our invited speaker. This virtual event was free and open to the general public.
The invited speaker described the fourth dimension through geometry and then through algebra using elementary mathematical concepts. Andres Navas also recommended the book “The Fourth Dimension” by Charles Howard Hinton and highlighted Sophie Germain’s phrase: “Algebra is geometry in formulas. Geometry is algebra with drawings.”
