The thirteenth Math Webinar in English took place on Wednesday, March 2nd, 2022 from 5 pm until 6 pm with Lauren Siegel, Director of the MathHappens Foundation, as our invited speaker. This virtual event was free and open to the general public.
In this thirteenth Math Webinar in English, Lauren Siegel presented on “A Visit to the MathHappens Workshop!” The speaker shared several examples of math models and activities that they make in the MathHappens Foundation. Lauren Siegel explained how they connect these models to museums, libraries, and cultural and nature centers. The speaker also showed us the laser cutter in action and made various recommendations of materials and ways of making those activities that they have found successful. This virtual event was co-organized by the Mathematical Association of America (MAA).
