Webinar on Mathematics as a form of happiness

The Webinar on Mathematics as a form of happiness took place on Wednesday, July 30th, 2025 from 5 pm until 6 pm, with Antonio Cafure, Teaching Researcher at the National University of General Sarmiento in Argentina, Researcher at the National Council of Scientific and Technical Research (CONICET) and Creator of the YouTube Channel Sentimental Mathematics, as our invited speaker. This virtual event was free and open to the general public.

The speaker explained what a happy number is and showed that there exists an infinite amount of happy numbers. Antonio Cafure then shared the Theorem of Happiness and described the happiness of prime numbers. The speaker also invited the participants to follow the YouTube Channels Sentimental Mathematics and Outreach and Popularization Commission of the Mathematical Union of Latin America and the Caribbean (UMALCA).
