«Math Outreach – What to Do, What Not to Do and Why Is It So Important» was our first official session organized by FUNDAPROMAT at the Mathematical Congress of the Americas (MCA), math conference organized by the Mathematical Council of the Americas every four years. In this session, Matilde Lalin, Université de Montréal, Canada, Margarita Azbel, Orlando Math Circle, United States, Lola Thompson, Utrecht University, The Netherlands, and Maria Chara, Universidad de la República, Uruguay, and Researcher at CONICET, Argentina, participated as our invited panelists, who shared their experiences in math outreach, as well as suggestions on what to do and what not to do when organizing these types of activities. This session was moderated by Jeanette Shakalli, FUNDAPROMAT, Panama, was co-organized by Joyati Debnath, Winona State University, United States, and took place in Chopin Ballroom at the InterContinental Miami Hotel in the United States.
