The forty-first Math Webinar in English took place on Wednesday, October 2nd, 2024 from 5 pm until 6 pm with Henry Segerman, Associate Professor of Mathematics at Oklahoma State University, as our invited speaker. This virtual event was free and open to the general public.
In this forty-first Math Webinar in English, Henry Segerman presented on “Artistic Mathematics: Truth and Beauty.” The speaker presented on his work in mathematical visualization, that involves the creation of images, models and experiences of mathematical concepts that are accurate, effective and beautiful. Henry Segerman explained what makes a visualization compelling and showed many examples of 3D printing, virtual reality and spherical video.
