The Webinar on From Bridges to Magic took place on Thursday, September 18th, 2025 from 5 pm until 6 pm, with Anibal Aguilera, Head of the Math Department of the Santiago de la Florida School, Chile, as our invited speaker. This virtual event was free and open to the general public.
The speaker amazed the audience with a fascinating magic card trick and then proceeded to explain the mathematical concepts behind the trick. Anibal Aguilera described binary numbers and De Bruijn chains and connected them with the magic trick. The speaker also encouraged the participants to perform this trick that uses the cards from Ace to 8 to attract kids and adults towards mathematics.
