The Webinar on Mathematical Messages for Aliens took place on Thursday, March 28th, 2024 from 5 pm until 6 pm, with Jorge Luis Arroyo, Professor of Mathematics at the Veracruz Anahuac University in Mexico, as our invited speaker. This virtual event was free and open to the general public.
The invited speaker started the virtual event by defining what is a language and describing several examples of languages. Jorge Luis Arroyo then explained the language of the universe throughout history, mentioning a few significant characters like Ptolemy, Newton and Einstein. The speaker also pointed out that in the Voyager missions, space probes were sent to the outer planets.
