Webinar on Choreography of a Mathematician

The Webinar on Choreography of a Mathematician took place on Friday, February 5th, 2021 from 12 pm until 1:30 pm, with Dr. Eduardo Mancera, Vice President of the Interamerican Committee on Math Education, as our invited speaker. This virtual event was free and open to the general public.

The invited speaker highlighted that the development of mathematical thinking is a creative act that does not depend on memory or on certain skills, but on continuous inquiry and the approach and the exploration of all types of possibilities. Dr. Eduardo Mancera emphasized that knowing how to use the symbols does not imply the understanding of the mathematics, and that solving a problem is not the end of the math activity, but only the beginning.
