The twelfth Math Webinar in English took place on Wednesday, February 2nd, 2022 from 5 pm until 6 pm with the recreational mathematician Adam Atkinson as our invited speaker. This virtual event was free and open to the general public.
In this twelfth Math Webinar in English, Adam Atkinson presented on “Maths and Science Stories.” The speaker shared several stories, including water in the desert, the thing with the right angle, the supermarket story, the barometer story, the heavy boots story and how to make the Earth seem flat. This virtual event was co-organized by the Mathematical Association of America (MAA).
