Abstract: Keisha Cook’s research focuses on applied and computational biology, particularly stochastic processes, and involves interdisciplinary collaborations across mathematics, biophysics, bioengineering, and forestry. Our invited speaker develops mathematical models and analytical tools to better understand complex biological systems and data. She is also committed to mentoring underrepresented students and researchers and advancing the participation of women and minorities in STEM. In this webinar, Keisha Cook will share her journey through mathematics, including the challenges, lessons, and experiences that have shaped her career.
