Abstract: From elementary school through college, students often think recursively when solving number pattern problems: How do I get the next number from the ones I have so far? In this webinar, we will use spreadsheets, apps like Polypad, and maybe geometry software, to explore interesting number patterns. We will play with some old friends and some new acquaintances, discussing ways to approach recursive thinking with students with a variety of math backgrounds.
